Grace is young and has led a sheltered life. She hasn't yet taken much of an interest in men. It's only while doing an internship in London, where she meets the alluring Jonathan Huntington, that our sleeping beauty is awoken from her slumber. Jonathan is rich, incredibly attractive, and stems from British royalty - but he is a far cry from Prince Charming. He lures Grace ever deeper into his world of sinister passion, and she is sucked further and further into the maelstrom of her own growing desires. But when Jonathan demands she do the unthinkable to prove her love for him, she realizes just how dangerous her feelings for him are.



My Review:

Grace is a twenty two economics major who landed an internship at Huntington Ventures in London. Not only does Grace land a great internship but she quickly works her way up and ends up working directly with the boss himself, Jonathan Huntington. Working with the boss also means a lot of sex with the boss. Grace almost instantly falls in love with Jonathan but he lets her know right off that it’s a sex only relationship. 

Jonathan teaches Grace all about sex and I mean a lot of sex. There are no emotions involved on his part which would leave any woman ready to pull out her hair and say so long. Grace keeps hoping that Jonathan will show some sort of emotion and maybe one day learn to love her as well.

In my opinion this is a pretty good first book by Kathryn Taylor. I do find that the plot is somewhat similar to Fifty Shades. Naïve and sexually inexperienced young woman falls for a filthy rich head of a corporation. However, there are differences and the writing is fairly good although there are a few typos.

Grace is somewhat childish at times but I know many real life twenty two year olds that are just as childish. I don’t like that she doesn’t seem to value herself enough to get out of the relationship that is so emotionally draining. She so craves him to love her that she does everything he wants without hesitation even if it means she gets no love at all in return. 

I learned to dislike Jonathan fairly quickly. I didn’t like that he rarely showed any sort of respect at all for Grace. The only time I saw any type emotion or love and respect was with his sister and his business partner. 

Overall I liked the book and it was an easy read. I loved the cliffhanger and I liked the book well enough to want to read the next book in the series.
